IdealStaffs is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior PeopleSoft Financials Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in updating and maintaining our client's custom engine for calculating voting rights, ensuring it meets new contract requirements and business rules. This position requires a strong background in PeopleSoft development, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills to work effectively with business teams and technical staff.sential.


Technical Context

The client utilizes Oracle PeopleSoft HCM and Financials (version 9.2) as the core platform for administrative, human resources, and financial management. A wide range of modules are in use across both systems. PeopleSoft is integrated with various internal and external platforms, including an Oracle data warehouse for corporate reporting, banking and payment systems, a learning management system, UN security and pension services, and more.


Scope of WorkUnder the general supervision and technical coordination of the ICT Solutions Manager, and as part of the ERP Solutions Team, the selected vendor will provide senior-level technical expertise to support the manager in the area of PeopleSoft Financials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-level feasibility assessments and project effort estimations for new requirements based on expertise in PeopleSoft Financials.

  • Analyze and resolve issues and defects, including those arising from system customizations.

  • Collaborate with business SMEs to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.

  • Provide integration support for SaaS financial systems and resolve technical issues.


Detailed Tasks

  1. Analyze business requirements or technical issues, provide costed solution options, and propose implementation timelines.

  2. Identify root causes of technical problems in PeopleSoft Financials and implement effective resolutions.

  3. Manage and respond to user-reported technical issues through the internal ticketing system.

  4. Develop and implement PeopleCode, SQL scripts, and workflow updates to resolve data and process issues.

  5. Address performance concerns and optimize system processes.

  6. Prepare project documentation and support migration of solutions to production environments.

  7. Assist in patching and PUM applications, including post-update testing in collaboration with DBAs.

  8. Adhere to internal policies and procedures, particularly those related to system security and production deployments.

  9. Provide documentation and responses to internal and external audits as needed.

  10. Design and implement solutions addressing audit recommendations.

  11. Deliver post-deployment support for newly implemented features.

  12. Work collaboratively with developers across technologies to ensure secure, robust integrations.

  13. Coordinate with cybersecurity teams to enhance system security and resilience.

  14. Support improvements to access control processes in PeopleSoft.

  15. Liaise with external hosting providers for any issues related to the full PeopleSoft technology stack.


Technical Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of experience with PeopleSoft Financials (version 9.x)

  • Proficiency in PeopleTools 8.5x and PeopleCode (including application packages and workflows)

  • Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft security framework and ability to configure security elements

  • Proven experience resolving technical issues and supporting non-technical users

  • Expertise in developing and deploying technical solutions within the listed PeopleSoft Financials modules

  • Experience designing and implementing complex approval workflows

  • Familiarity with Integration Broker, component interfaces, and integration with Cloud/SaaS platforms
