IdealStaffs is looking for a PeopleSoft Financials & HCM Technical Consultant to support one of its clients with the ongoing maintenance, support, enhancement, integration, and patching of its PeopleSoft ERP environment.
The client uses PeopleSoft HCM and PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 as core systems for administrative, human resources, and financial management. The environment includes more than 20 modules and is integrated with several internal and external systems, including an Oracle Data Warehouse, banking and payment platforms, learning management systems, UN security services, pension fund systems, and other corporate applications.
The selected consultant will work under the general supervision and technical coordination of the ICT Solutions Manager, as part of the ERP Solutions team. The consultant will provide technical expertise to resolve user issues, manage change requests, support integrations, assist with Oracle patching cycles, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the PeopleSoft environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
The selected consultant will be responsible for:
Providing technical user support for PeopleSoft Financials and HCM through the client’s internal ticketing system, ensuring users are kept informed of progress and feedback requirements.
Investigating and debugging technical issues to identify root causes and propose appropriate solutions.
Developing technical solutions for user issues and change requests, including updates to PeopleCode, SQL scripts, data correction scripts, workflow configurations, and other PeopleSoft components.
Reviewing quarterly and exceptional Oracle PeopleSoft patches, identifying relevant updates, and applying or coordinating their application with the hosting agency.
Performing system testing in non-production environments and resolving any issues identified before production deployment.
Identifying and resolving performance issues by analysing bottlenecks and implementing appropriate remediations.
Preparing PeopleSoft projects and supporting documentation for migration to production.
Performing quality control checks on developments and related documentation prepared by other team members or consultants.
Maintaining project documentation and lessons learned in the client’s ICT document management system.
Reporting system issues promptly to ICT management.
Supporting the application of patches, PUMs, and technical testing after implementation, including basic functional testing in coordination with database managers, support teams, and project teams.
Helping automate recurring functional and technical testing scenarios wherever possible.
Managing issues related to integrations between PeopleSoft databases and external systems, including coordination with business owners and external vendors.
Ensuring compliance with the client’s procedures and policies, particularly those related to security, system updates, and production migrations.
Providing information and support for internal and external audits or other reviews, as required.
Designing solutions required to address internal audit recommendations, particularly related to the Purchasing module.
Providing post go-live support for solutions deployed to production.
Working closely with PeopleSoft developers and developers using other technologies to validate requirements and ensure integration points are managed efficiently and securely.
Supporting the ICT Change Management team when user communications, training materials, or other documentation are required for new or updated functionality.
Technical Requirements
The ideal consultant should have:
At least 4 years of experience working with PeopleSoft Financials and/or HCM modules, preferably in PeopleSoft version 9.x.
Strong knowledge of PeopleTools 8.6x.
Strong experience with PeopleCode, including Application Packages and workflow.
Demonstrable knowledge of PeopleSoft security components, including the ability to configure or modify security roles, permissions, and related components.
Strong experience troubleshooting technical issues and supporting non-technical user groups.
Proven experience developing technical solutions for PeopleSoft Financials and/or HCM modules.
Experience with approval workflows, including the creation of complex workflows and the use of approval workflow engines.
Experience designing Integration Broker messages, Component Interfaces, and other PeopleSoft integration methods.
Experience designing integrations with Cloud SaaS solutions.
Experience applying Oracle PeopleSoft patches, including selective patching, impact analysis, testing, and issue resolution before production deployment.
Good understanding of the PeopleSoft security framework, including principles such as least privilege, audit trail, and system resilience.
Experience using the PeopleSoft Test Framework to automate functional and technical testing within PeopleSoft applications.
