IdealStaffs is looking for a PeopleSoft Banking & Cash Management Technical Consultant to support one of its clients with the assessment, design, development, and implementation of a technical solution required for compliance with the November 2026 ISO 20022 requirements.


The selected consultant will work under the supervision of the ICT Project Manager and in coordination with the Treasury Business Owner. The consultant will assess the current process, propose the appropriate technical solution, and implement the required changes within PeopleSoft Financials.


The client expects the solution to be developed and ready for UAT within approximately 1.5 months from the project start date. The assignment will also include support for UAT testing with banks over a two-month period, as well as up to one month of post go-live support.


Duties and Responsibilities


The selected consultant will be responsible for:


  • Assessing the current payment processing workflow, including the generation of payment files uploaded to the SWIFT platform.

  • Analysing the ISO 20022 address requirements related to Loans and Grants payment processing.

  • Proposing a technical solution to support compliance with the November 2026 version of ISO 20022 within PeopleSoft Financials.

  • Validating the proposed solution with business users and relevant stakeholders.

  • Amending existing PeopleSoft tables where data is captured from the Loans and Grants system.

  • Updating the required payment file structures, including changes to pacs.008 files.

  • Developing and implementing the solution in a development environment, ensuring it is ready for UAT within 1.5 months of project start.

  • Supporting Treasury users during UAT testing with the banks.

  • Providing up to one month of post go-live support.

  • Preparing clear technical and functional documentation for the implemented solution and related processes.


Requirements


  • Functional Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience working with PeopleSoft Financials 9.2.

  • Strong experience in the development and configuration of the following PeopleSoft modules:

  • Cash Management

  • Banking

  • Accounts Payable

  • Knowledge of ISO 20022 would be considered an advantage.

  • Previous experience with finance processes in international or large enterprise environments would be beneficial.


Technical Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience with PeopleSoft FIN 9.2, especially Banking, Cash Management, and Accounts Payable modules.

  • Development experience with PeopleTools 8.5x / 8.6.

  • Good working knowledge of writing and customizing PeopleCode.

  • Knowledge of Application Packages would be an advantage.

  • Experience generating and modifying XML files.

  • Knowledge of SwiftNet messaging would be advantageous.

  • Good working knowledge of:

  • Application Engine

  • SQR

  • PeopleSoft Query

  • Strong SQL experience, preferably with Oracle databases.

  • Experience working with SWIFT or similar payment systems would be advantageous.

  • Proven experience documenting technical solutions.

  • Experience preparing technical reports and documentation for project approval processes within large enterprise environments.

  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise technical documentation.

Languages
