Required Profile:
Minimum Years of Experience: 3
The candidate is expected to have an intermediate level in Web Hosting administration, with at least three years of relevant experience and significant exposure to system administration and web services support.
The consultant will work under the supervision of the Unified Web Hosting Lead.
Scope of Work / Duties of Consultant:
• Support clients’ on projects or ongoing support services, taking care of web administration activities using IIS, .NET framework and core technologies, Nginx, Apache, PHP, etc.
• Support and maintain cloud-based web applications by leveraging a deep understanding of cloud resources, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
• Analyze, identify, and implement automation and optimization opportunities to enhance system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency, leveraging Ansible, scripting (with PowerShell or Bash) and other automation technologies.
• Implement security best practices for web applications, including least privileged, CIS benchmark baselining, vulnerability management, etc.
• Draft technical documentation on web services, related procedures, and operations.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging cloud trends, and new technologies, assessing their potential for adoption or integration.
Required Technical Skills:
The resource MUST have the following skills and experience:
• Experience in systems administration (Linux or Windows) and Web Servers configuration and administration (Nginx, Apache or IIS).
• Knowledge of Web authentication mechanisms and security best practices for web applications.
• Experience with Cloud-Based services (IaaS & PaaS) in public or private cloud providers.
• Operation of CI/CD pipelines and git versioning systems.
• Hands-on experience on scripting and automation (PowerShell scripting, Bash, Go, Ansible, etc.).
• Strong troubleshooting skills;
• Previous exposure to service management methodologies (ITIL).
