IdealStaffs seeks a Technical Writer on behalf of one of our clients, a United Nations organization.
The preferred candidate will collaborate closely with the team throughout the entire life cycle of medium to large-scale complex projects. Possessing a strong grasp of intricate business processes, they will primarily focus on creating technical and functional documentation along with relevant supporting materials.
Responsibilities of the Consultant:
The duties outlined below are representative of the tasks associated with this role. While not exhaustive, they provide a comprehensive overview of the position's responsibilities.
Develop and maintain technical documents, including reference and product manuals.
Collaborate closely with business analysts to articulate solution requirements in an appropriate format.
Validate and ensure understanding of solution functionalities and technical implementations through discussions with engineers, programmers, and the technical team.
Tailor tone and technical terminology in documentation to suit the needs of the intended audience.
Plan writing processes, establish timelines, and adhere to deadlines.
Create or collaborate with graphic designers to produce visual aids such as diagrams and charts to enhance understanding.
Solicit feedback from customers, designers, and manufacturers to enhance the quality of technical documents.
Contribute to the establishment of a knowledge management framework for the team.
Undertake other duties as assigned.
Required Technical Skills:

Impeccable organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
Capability to articulate complex data clearly and succinctly.
Ability to meet deadlines and work autonomously.
Proficiency in editing and proofreading colleagues' work.
Competence with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, or a related field.
3-5 years of relevant experience.
