Competencies
Standard testers with at least 5 years of software testing, including 2 years in test automation
Excellent knowledge of open source tools for test automation
Excellent knowledge of scripting including some basic java coding
Experience (desirable):
Knowledge of Industrial Property Business processes
Excellent knowledge of Selenium and Apache JMeter
Experience
Good knowledge and sound understanding of IT fundamentals and technologies pertinent to creating business solutions i.e. software development and testing, architecture, applications, databases, integration infrastructure and networks;
Must be technologically savvy, demonstrating the ability to easily adapt to new and unfamiliar technologies, software, and systems;
Skills in general infrastructure, including system configurations, clustering, performance, and security;
Experience working in projects, application performance and tuning;
Apply industry standards and best practices in writing and performing basic testing and comply with security standards and policies for the produced artefacts.
Agile or SCRUM Project participation experience
Experience in producing technical documentation
Duties
Work in consultation with current project teams to use and improve existing testing framework
Prepare test data in various reusable formats for test automation (e.g. json, csv)
Improve and develop automated test cases for system integration tests, regression tests, load and stress tests in order to validate frontend and backend REST API, user operations through web interface
Prepare aggregated test reports to highlight specific issues
Other testing-related tasks as needed
Requirements
Experience is using automation tools and techniques
Experience in database testing in environments including designing and manipulating test data, validating stored procedures, jobs and data replication.
Desirable
Relevant industry certifications
Knowledge of Transact-SQL and scripting
ITIL and Prince2 awareness
Soft Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills.
High degree of initiative, dependability and ability to work with little supervision.
High level of personal integrity, as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential matters, and show an appropriate level of judgment and maturity.
Ability to deliver quality results.
Expert knowledge of English is required (Oral and Written).
Knowledge of another UN language is desirable.
