IdealStaffs Consulting is looking for a highly motivated, collaborative and technically experienced Information Security Risk Analyst who has the ability to understand and use ServiceNow for Incident management, cloud operational and security processes, effectively communicate security risks, and facilitate agreement and understanding of risks within the organization. The successful candidate should be reliable, resourceful and has a “can-do” attitude.



Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with risk articulation and evaluation efforts through the FAIR methodology

  • Collaborate cross-functionally across the security organization to facilitate agreement and understanding of risk ratings for identified issues and risk scenarios

  • Assist developing senior leadership and board level reporting presentations and dashboards

  • Assist program management teams in articulating benefit of projects and solutions through quantifiable risk reduction

  • Leverage the ServiceNow platform for day-to-day activities to provide feedback to our product team and build an amazing story we can tell our stakeholders


Required Technical Skills:

The resource MUST have the following skills and experience:

  • 1+ years working in the field of information security or risk management

  • Prior experience of working in the Security or Risk Teams at a SaaS/Cloud company or with Security & Risk practice.

  • Understanding risk management methodologies

  • Ability to assist managing security and risk management projects

  • Knowledge on GRC systems

  • Ability to understand the intent of business and security requirements to assist providing effective and meaningful analysis

  • Capacity to support Troubleshoot and resolve of security incidents

  • Support audit and compliance requirements

  • Ability to report on metrics and KPIs


The resource SHOULD have the following skills and experience:

  • Knowledge on NIST 800-53

  • Knowledge on FAIR methodology

  • Experience on ServiceNow and RiskLens


Required Soft Skills:

  • Excellent report writing skills, ability to prepare risk management reports and associated metrics

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge on documentation of operating procedures and troubleshooting guidelines

  • Creativity/ ability to find innovative solutions

  • Willingness to learn on the job

  • Conflict management & cooperation

  • Other activities


Desirable certifications:

  • Relevant industry certifications like Open FAIR, CRISC, CISSP, SSCP, GSEC or CompTIA Security+.


On-call requirements:

  • One week per month (rotation is subject to the number of team members)

  • May be required on an exceptional basis
