IdealStaffs Consulting is looking for Network Consultant with more than 5 years of proved experience working on IT. The consultant is required to be able to effectively work with minimum supervision. The consultant is required to have strong communication and interpersonal skills to actively contribute to the team resolving the network related issues and customers’ requests.
On-call required one week per month (rotation is subject to the number of team members)
Role Duties:
The consultant provided by the supplier will participate in the design, administration, and operations of network services, and more specifically will:
Network operational support as part of the network operations team
Network related incidents, problems, and user requests resolution
Network devices – new installations and upgrades
Preventive network tasks (including window maintenances)
Create and maintain network related procedures and documentation
Review network equipment logs and alerts, and perform any corrective actions
Prepare and update technical documentation and configuration templates where needed
Provide telephone “stand-by” support outside business hours when required.
Perform other duties when required
Required Technical Skills:
The candidate MUST have the following skills and experience:
Good knowledge and experience with networking switching techniques
Good knowledge and experience with networking security techniques
Ability to configure, monitor, and support a network infrastructure based on:
Catalyst switches (Cisco IOS): Stacking, VSS and HA, STP, HSRP, dynamic routing, QoS, Netflow, VRF-aware features, 802.1x, port protection
Cisco ISR/ASR Routers: OSPF, BGP, NAT, Netflow, QoS, VRF-aware features, site-to-site VPN, BFD, PBR
Ability to support and administer TACACS and RADIUS based network admin access control solutions
Ability to configure, monitor, and support the Cisco Wireless Controllers
Ability to configure, monitor, and support the Cisco ASA and Firepower Firewalls in HA:
o Discovery, Access Control, Security Intelligence, NAT, IPSec VPNs, AVC, URL filtering, SSL inspection, Intrusion prevention, Malware filtering
Ability to configure, monitor, and support the Checkpoint Firewalls (ClusterXL):
o NAT, IPSec VPNs, URL/application filtering, policies and inline layers
Ability to configure, monitor, and support the F5 Application Delivery Controllers (LTM)
Ability to install and configure network tools on Linux based machines
Ability to perform network traffic packet capture and analysis
Use of scripting languages to automate repetitive tasks
Experience and familiarity with ITIL and/or ISO20000 best practices
The consultant SHOULD have the following skills and experience:
Ability to support and administer Azure and AWS cloud networking components
Required Soft Skills:

Ability to write documentation & reports
Creativity/ ability to find innovative solutions
Willingness to learn on the job
Proficient in English
Desirable certifications:
Cisco CCNP Enterprise or equivalent
CheckPoint CCSA / CCSE
