The IT Operations Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring top-tier customer/client service quality, acting as a vital link between internal business stakeholders and the tech team to communicate challenges and viable solutions. They collaborate with external service providers to ensure cost-effective maintenance service delivery, research new technologies and procedures to meet diverse user needs, and present innovative ideas to the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and participate in various IT projects, ensuring their successful execution.
Prioritize, investigate, and troubleshoot 2nd line cases while optimizing IT processes.
Provide continuous IT operations and 1st & 2nd line IT support for all business functions, maintaining a 24/7 support in shifts.
Manage and implement improvements for IT equipment (e.g., workstations, PCs, laptops, mobile devices) and software in alignment with company and security policies.
Document solutions in the company knowledge base and mentor colleagues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent studies.
6 – 10 years of experience in computer engineering, systems administration, and engineering support.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy implementation.
Ability to automate processes, especially for mass software deployment.
Proficiency in Windows Server, Windows and Mac Operating Systems, Linux, Google Apps, Public Cloud, MS Remote, scripting (e.g., PowerShell).
Familiarity with Desktop Services, Bitbucket, Jira/confluence.
Understanding of VPN, IPsec, DHCP, DNS, HTTP/s & TCP/IP protocols.
Basic level IT security knowledge.
Notions of Virtualisation.
Experience in backup and restore, monitoring system health.
Ability to manage multiple projects and issues simultaneously.
Discipline, motivation, focus on results, and a passion for automation.
Quick learner with adaptability to change and a willingness to share knowledge.
Customer-oriented, result-oriented, and punctual, with the ability to resolve dissatisfied-customer situations in collaboration with the team manager.
Proficiency in managing and implementing IT improvements, involving planning, stakeholder/supplier engagement, research, and enrollment.
Excellent English communication skills.
